This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception. Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿 → Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection. 📷 stephanjulliard #paris #interiordesign #apartmenttour #parisianinteriors #luxuryinteriors

Over a decade ago, I tagged along to Paris with The Hubby who was there for a work trip. I was so excited and planned for months before departure of where I would go and what I would do. When we finally arrived in France, I did NONE of my plans or saw anything I had hoped to see. The Hubby was working so I was on my own. I spoke little to no French, directions were hard to determine (my cell had roaming on it, but the maps app was garbage), and no one would assist when I asked for help. Then, after a very long walk from my hotel near the Eiffel Tower to the Notre Dame bridge and back, I was attacked and nearly mugged by the Louvre. I had been followed on my way back to the hotel, and was grabbed into an alleyway near the museum. Just as I was struggling to get away, a motorcycle cam barreling into the alley, pinned the mugger against the brick wall, and the two started fighting. A tiny police car came in from the opposite side of the alley, and chaos began between four frenchmen. As things became heated, I yeeted myself out of there and took a cab back to my hotel. I didn’t even tell The Hubby about what happened for two days so as not to worry him or distract from his work. I haven’t really wanted to return to France since this incident. It’s such a shame that my time in Paris was so disappointing. I think I need to give it another try, but not alone. Anyone up for hosting my next trip? Cheers!
