Su un tracciato che non si presta esattamente alla velocità, questo risultato parla chiaro: è l’espressione della qualità della sua prestazione, più che del semplice tempo. Fin dai primi chilometri, il ritmo era sotto controllo. Un gruppo nutrito passa alla mezza maratona in circa 1:03:14. Da quel punto in poi, la selezione è stata inesorabile: a 30 km, restano solo 11 atleti, ma al 35 km, Yeman prende l’iniziativa, scattando in testa. Al 40° km, restano in quattro, e negli ultimi 2,195 km, il 28enne trentino gestisce il finale con maestria, resistendo agli attacchi e mantenendo la leadership fino al traguardo. Impressionante la seconda frazione in 1:02:04 (2’57”/km 😱) che, dopo il passaggio a metà gara in 1:03:14, sigla una negative split clamorosa, segnale di quanto margine cronometrico ci sia ancora.
